Home Loans Without Tax Returns in Florida or Miami

We have many exciting home loans without tax returns designed specifically for self-employed borrowers like you. You can purchase or refinance a home. Without providing a single tax return.

Home loans without tax returns do exist

Most traditional banks require full documentation of income, including tax returns, W2s and paychecks.

However, self-employed individuals typically don’t have W2s or paychecks.  And, their tax returns generally don’t show steady, consistent income.

Those getting a self-employed mortgage in Florida also have trouble satisfying traditional underwriting guidelines when it comes to debt-to-income ratio (DTI) and credit score requirements, but a mortgage loan without income tax returns does exist!

Benefits of home loans without tax returns

Qualifying for a home loan with no tax returns has several benefits.  Here are just three:

Streamlined process

Mortgage loans without tax returns will get you to the closing table quickly. Instead of waiting for your CPA to complete your latest tax return, you can show income now through your recent bank statements or a self-prepared P&L statement.

No long history required

Under a traditional loan program, you would have to show at least 24 consecutive months of steady income through tax returns. With a no tax returns mortgage, you're only required to provide 12 months of income history.

Relaxed underwriting

Why expose yourself to scrutiny by providing pages and pages of tax returns? Instead, with a no tax return loan, enjoy a more relaxed approach, as the underwriter focuses on simpler documentation, such as a CPA letter.

A mortgage without tax returns to suit your situation

We are not a traditional bank.  As a mortgage broker with a network of creative, non-QM lenders, we have access to mortgage without tax returns programs designed just for self-employed borrowers.  No tax returns, W2s or paychecks required.

Not all roads to the closing table require tax returns.  Here are some examples of the different paths you can take:

Bank Statements

To qualify for no tax return home loans, you can provide at least 12 months of personal or business bank statements.  Your income is calculated from the deposits to your bank account (in contrast to no income verification mortgage loans).

Profit & Loss Statement

You provide a P&L covering at least the last 12 months to purchase or refinance without tax returns.  Some lenders will even accept a self-prepared P&L, as opposed to one prepared by a CPA.

CPA, Accountant, or Tax Preparer Letter

Perhaps most creative of all, you can qualify for a mortgage loan without tax returns by simply providing a letter stating your title, ownership percentage, and business inception date.  No statement of income required.

Why DAK Mortgage for no tax return mortgage loans

We are expert problem-solvers when it comes to no tax return mortgage loans.

$2M condo loan for non-U.S. citizen

Our client, a permanent resident alien from Argentina, was under contract to buy a newly constructed condominium in Florida. He hadn't filed any U.S. tax returns at that point, so we found him a no tax return mortgage. Instead of tax returns, we used a CPA letter to qualify him.

No tax return investor loan

Our client was under contract to purchase a duplex and a fourplex in Connecticut to add to his rental investment portfolio. As a self-employed social media influencer, he did not show adequate income through his tax returns. Instead of tax returns, we used 12 months of his business bank statements to qualify him.

P&L program for architect

Our client was just starting out as a self-employed architect, so he didn't have enough track history to show steady income via tax returns. He was the perfect candidate for a mortgage with no tax returns. We qualified him under the P&L program to help him secure his new home purchase.

We are no tax return home loans specialists.

As home loans without tax returns specialists, we understand that not everyone can prove their income through two years of tax returns.

Mortgage and no tax returns: FAQs

Do lenders look at tax returns?

Not necessarily.  While traditional lenders like big banks typically require loan applicants to provide 2 years of tax returns, alternative lenders (also known as non-QM lenders) do not.  Working through a mortgage broker, you can apply to a lender that specializes in providing no tax return mortgage loans.

You’ll be able to prove your income via personal or business bank statements, a profit and loss statement, or a CPA letter.

Do mortgage lenders verify tax returns?

Yes, under a traditional home loan, the lender will verify at least 2 years of your tax returns, including by requesting your IRS tax transcripts.  To avoid this extra paperwork, look for a no tax returns home loan, where the lender won’t require any tax returns at all.

How can I buy a house without 2 years of income?

Look for a lender that offers home loans without tax returns.  Typically, traditional lenders require you to show at least 2 years of steady income via tax returns.  By contrast, non-QM lenders have programs requiring you to show only 1 year of income through alternative methods.
